Before you head to the festival, file these seven things under need to know. Don’t have tickets? Limited passes still available for most sessions here, but get in quick (session 2 is already sold out!).

1. GET TO KNOW THE MECCALAND WORLDS

The five immersive worlds of #MECCALAND have now been revealed and they’re teeming with large-scale installations, never-before-seen-product and free samples galore. Popstar Park is a total playground for beauty junkies; City Of Lights is a major makeup metropolis; The Queendom is where you live your best life; The Wildflowers is where you set your beauty bohemian free; and Temple Of You is a retreat for your mind, body and soul. There’s something for every one of your makeup moods and we can’t wait for you to explore. This is a real choose your own adventure type of thing, so this map will come in real handy when you’re lost in beauty heaven.

2. EAT ALL THE DELICIOUS TREATS

All this beauty making you hungry? Here’s a taste for some of the delicious snacks and refreshments you’ll find at MECCALAND. Refuel on New York-inspired street food in City Of Lights and healthy poke bowls in the Wildflowers. For dessert? Unicorn ice cream and glitter glazed donuts that are a feast for your eyes and your taste buds.

3. BE ENTERTAINED, BE VERY ENTERTAINED

We’re making a big song and dance about MECCALAND—and for good reason! With dancers, performers, drag queens, cheerleaders and everyone’s favourite costume duo The Huxleys, it’s probably best you wear your dancing shoes.

4. BE IN IT TO WIN IT

Consider yourself the next big thing in beauty? Get amongst the action on the mainstage for the chance to win some juicy prizes. Enter So You Think You Can Beauty? hosted by Michelle Andrews and Zara McDonald from Shameless podcast. In this fast-paced game of skill, two attendees battle it out in a race to the perfectly made-up selfie. The catch? Everyday hurdles will hinder the journey to the final selfie destination. For makeup artist in the making, the MECCA Face Off competition is for you. TThe ultimate artistry competition returns to the #MECCALAND mainstage. Four lucky artists will compete for the chance to win a $1000 MECCA Gift Card—we set the brief and you create the look with a mystery box of makeup. To enter, rock your best festival look on the day and head to information at the start of your session to sign up.

5. BOOK IN FOR A GLAM APPOINTMENT

Get in on the exclusive experiences and services at the #MECCALAND brand booths. Make your own palette at By Terry, get a perfect hair day at Living Proof with complimentary styling, there’s lipstick engraving at YSL and you can get your name on your All Nighter Spray at Urban Decay, get glitter braids at Bumble and Bumble, skin treatments at Dermalogica, Kate Somerville and NuFace and so much more. Be sure to book at the brand booth at the start of your session so you don’t miss out.

6. MEET YOU AT THE MAINSTAGE

Want to brush up on your beauty knowledge? Head to the mainstage for Masterclasses and see the world’s best beauty masters in action. Or hit up the Power Panels to see the industry’s biggest beauty bosses, speaking on a range of topics.
