The latest release from Tatcha is all about getting ultra-dewy skin without a stitch of makeup. A cream version of the bestselling Luminous Dewy Skin Mist, this product has been gathering buzz due to celebrity fans Kim Kardashian and her makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic—for whom the rich cream was created. Tatcha founder Victoria Tsai wanted to create Dedivanovic’s holy grail foundation base: a super emollient cream that pairs well with glow-giving makeup. Like the mist and Luminous Dewy Skin Mask, the moisturiser is formulated with Japanese anti-ageing superfoods that help protect from pollution and keep skin looking plump. Drier skin types are going to drink this up, and look all the better for it.
It may not be the sexiest topic, but skin is at its best when its pH level is balanced. When this balancing act happens, skin can better protect itself from environmental stressors, the ageing process and is better at holding moisture. This canny essence uses a cocktail of fruit enzymes to equalise the acidic to alkaline ratio of your complexion. It is step three in the Kat Burki five-step regime (the whole of which is now available at MECCA), and it preps the skin for heavy hitting treatments that target issues like hyperpigmentation or loss of collagen and elasticity.
We’re excited about this new brand, and not just because it’s founded by three sisters who give us total Charmed vibes—though that is alluring. This product is one of their most popular. Formulated with as few ingredients as possible, it adapts to the skin's undertones to give a flattering soft-focus to spot concealing and undereye-brightening (just opt for a shade or two lighter than your spot-concealing colour). Some artists love the formula so much they recommend using it for the whole complexion, adding a darker shade for contouring and sculpting. Some of the magic of this brand is that it’s completely natural, ingredient-conscious (no palm oil) and cruelty-free. Prepare to be bewitched.
This lip pairing is part of the new NARS Exposed Collection, which is all about vibrant, poppy shades and experimenting with different textures. Matte, shimmer and glitter shades for eyes, punchy pigments and glossy finishes for cheeks and lips. The entire collection will inspire you to empty your makeup bag and start again, but the Mini Lip Duo in Intriguing is something we recommend buying in doubles. The Velvet Matte Lip Pencils are a favourite with many, including Elle Ferguson, and the Velvet Lip Glide is such a comfortable, long-wearing gloss, but outside of this limited-edition duo, the shade Intriguing doesn’t exist across both items. And it’s the perfect, warm-nude for that your-lips-but better look.
This super potent, hyper-targeted treatment is the Captain Marvel of anti-ageing treatments. It illuminates tired skin, and also works to reverse visible signs of ageing, including fine lines, wrinkles, dark spots, loss of firmness and loss of collagen. The inclusion of sodium hyaluronate and wheat helps to instantly lift the face and reduce the visible depth of wrinkles. Also in the mix are diamond peptides, copper, amino acids and a patented delivery system that ensures all that goodness is being absorbed in the intended way. At $589 this is an investment, but if you’re looking for an advanced treatment that actually addresses wrinkles and ageing skin, this will get you results. It also feels amazing going on, but that’s just a bonus.
Though she’s based in Düsseldorf, Dr. Sturm has an international fan base for her molecular approach to skin care and her cutting-edge products. The doctor’s new brightening range is specifically designed to gradually correct yellow tones, darkness and pigmentation, while instantly and visibly turning up the glow with doses of hyaluronic acid and shimmer particles. Also worthy of note is the inclusion of ginseng extract, which promotes the skin’s own ability to protect from UV stressors. The lotion is a lightweight option for normal to more oily skin types, but if you like something richer it comes in a cream version too.
Is your skin looking dull with uneven texture? Is the thought of doing something about it just too hard-basket? Enter Go-To, the simple, no-nonsense collection from beauty guru Zoë Foster Blake and these Exfoliating Swipeys. These single-use pads are soaked in lactic acid (the most gentle of AHAs) for effective exfoliation and essential oils for extra hydration. They refine your skin’s texture, brighten it up, and minimise the appearance of fine lines—all in 60 seconds. Swipe, chill a minute, rinse and ease yourself back into your day.
Vegan friendly, cruelty-free and made without any controversial ingredients, the lilah b. makeup line is instantly recognisable for its sleek compacts that resemble pale pebbles. Hailing from Northern California, the brand is all about minimalism and helping women achieve full looks, with fewer products. This lip balm is a prime example of their multitasking approach. Smoothing and nourishing, it relieves dry lips while providing a hint of sheen. It contains mint for extra freshness (never bad), and it can be used on the high points of the face for fetching shine. The formula also boasts lavender essential oil, so one could argue it’s also an aromatherapy tool. Take a sniff when you need some extra zen.
The brow queen of Beverly Hills has arrived at MECCA, and everything is right with the world. Basically, we’re taking one of everything please, but the Dipbrow Gels are part of the brand’s newest collection. It’s the brand’s first new brow product in three years and was inspired by the idea of turning the bestselling Brow Pomade into a gel. Like the pomade, it’s highly-pigmented for rich, long-lasting colour and the colours are so right for natural brows. It’s waterproof, so pool-friendly, fills brows naturally and the small sized brush makes application a breeze. Try once, love forever.
Brows may be their main bag but ABH do colour so well too. Case in point: these pretty blush trios. The finely-milled formulas blend beautifully into skin and the rich pigments (all ABH colours are impressively pigmented) mean you can go from subtle to punchy in a few swipes. There are five shades, but Peachy Love is our pick as season colours are trending toward the brighter, almost neon end of the spectrum. Mix the shades together or wear them individually. We’re feeling a little Miami (the peachy-orange shade) on the eye with a blend of the other two, Nectarine and Ginger, on the cheeks as a winning look.
A floral scent doesn’t have to be about the blooms themselves, and this one certainly isn’t. This fragrance captures the other green elements of the florist shop: the freshly cut stems, soil and crushed leaves. The smells you get from the garden rather than from a vase of flowers. The result is a radiant, textured composition that brings to mind that fresh, dense, green scent that lingers on your hands and clothes after a spring picnic.
