If you can’t go to the gym without wearing makeup… read this

While sporting a Kardashian-style contour and dark smokey eye isn’t our top recommendation for your Saturday morning HIIT class, wearing makeup to the gym—if it makes you feel more comfortable in your skin—isn’t a total no-go. With the right products, and some before and after care, it won’t wreak havoc on your skin either. Here’s how to do it.

Pass on the powders and opt for lightweight creams

When powder meets sweat, caking may ensue. So, your base should be sheer and creamy with the intention of enhancing your skin—not covering it up. Depending on how much coverage you would like; you’ve got options:

1. The lightest touch: you don’t want to look (or put the effort into being) done up, but you do want to look alive and well. Swipe Ilia’s Multistick onto your cheeks and lips, pressing it in with your fingers for a subtle sculpt and hint of colour—easy.

A little brow grooming can make a major difference
