Here’s what the MECCA community are voting for in the third (and final!) week of the Beauty Election

We are officially in week three of this year’s MECCA Beauty Election, and with votes closing in just three days, we’re closer than ever to finding out which beauty buys are truly the best, according to you. It’s our duty to keep you up to date on who’s voting for what, so here’s what the greater MECCA community are pledging their beauty allegiance to this week.

Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream

This richly hydrating body cream is a MECCA icon, renowned for its intoxicating vanilla-pistachio scent (if you know, you know). Loaded with caffeine and antioxidants, it nourishes, firms and leaves the skin with a subtle glow—all while transporting you to a Brazilian beach holiday (it might be the closest you can get right now). In addition to its addictive scent, MECCA Chit Chat members Harriet and Vanessa love Bum Bum’s abilities to “make [their] skin feel tighter” and “help with stretchmarks,” and Lucy, like many, relies on the cream as the best-possible partner to self-tan; “it’s the only body cream that I have found that makes my fake tan hold and not crack and I have tried so many creams, both cheap and expensive! LOVE this stuff.”

Urban Decay Stay Naked Weightless Liquid Foundation

Aside from its seamlessly lightweight second-skin finish and all-day wear time, the unparalleled shade range of this fan-favourite foundation is something to admire. Rather than forcing you to play the guessing game (only to end up with a base that’s too pink, too yellow or too ashy), the range is formulated to accommodate the skin’s three ‘master tones’ (cool, neutral and warm), and seven ‘undertones’ (pink, green and blue for cool; yellow, red and orange for warm; and a middle-ground neutral). Beauty lover Natalie considers this Beauty Election finalist her “number one foundation,” sitting “beautifully” on her oily-combination skin, even when she has the occasional dry patch, and Chit Chat member Ashley claims to have “never used a product so amazing.”

Mario Badescu Enzyme Cleansing Gel

Mario Badescu is a true MECCA legend, with hardworking formulas that outperform their incredible affordability. A gentle exfoliator and refreshing cleanser in one, the brand’s cult non-foaming gel cleanser harnesses the skin-renewing powers of grapefruit and papaya to remove excess oil and surface impurities without dehydrating the skin. This creates a smooth, bright base for the skincare that follows. “If my foundation just isn’t sitting right,” says MECCA HQ team member Rhyanna, “I’ll reach for this cleanser to eliminate that top layer of dryness and texture I sometimes get, and it works a charm!” As the catalyst of her smooth skin days, “it 100% gets [her] vote.”

Drunk Elephant T.L.C. Framboos™ Glycolic Night Serum

This clear, gel-like exfoliating serum delivers on a serious skin overhaul thanks to Drunk Elephant’s trademark T.L.C. Framboos™ AHA blend, which combines the perfect quantities of glycolic, tartaric, lactic and citric acids to lift away dead skin cells, resurfacing dull, uneven skin. The ingredients list goes on and on (with salicylic acid to unclog, and raspberry and cactus extracts to soothe and rehydrate), working together to deliver noticeably smoother, brighter skin from the moment you wake up. What has Chit Chat got to say? A lot. According to group member Jade, “T.L.C. has given [her] the most noticeable results in the shortest amount of time,” of all the products she’s tried at MECCA. “My skin is easily congested and textured,” she shared, “and it’s become so much smoother and clearer.” Saskia, a self-proclaimed “acid newbie,” noticed a “HUGE” difference in her skin after using the coveted serum just three times. “It has majorly decreased and nearly gotten rid of breakouts that have been on my face for weeks.”
