How To

Our final how-to look with makeup artist Linda Jefferyes was inspired by Bowie and Lorde. This take on colour play is refreshing, confident and fun. Bright, candy-crush shades are uber-flattering; the draping technique creates shape and dimension for alternative, angular perfection.

Step 1

Sweep the intense pink from NARS Dual Intensity Blush in Panic over apples of your cheeks with the Hourglass Powder Brush and blend upwards quite high up to the temples.

Linda’s tip: “Slightly wet your brush to intensify the colour. For any leftover colour on the brush, I like to add a little to the bridge of nose, too.”

Step 4

Warm up a little RMS Master Mixer highlighter on your fingertips and apply to the tops of the cheekbones.
Linda’s tip: “Adding this shimmery texture to the complexion is really important to break up the colour—be sure to blend really well. I also like this product on the centre of the eyelids, bridge of the nose and a little on the Cupid’s bow.”

Step 6

Add a pop of pink to the lips with Hourglass Confession Lipstick in I Believe. Linda’s tip: “There are so many other pinks to choose from; this blue-based pink really suited the mood of this look, and the skin tone of our gorgeous model, Casey.”
