#MYMECCASKIN: Watch Amy Hamilton’s calming nightly skincare routine

SKIN, LET’S FACE IT, IS A LOVE/HATE RELATIONSHIP. SOME DAYS IT’S GREAT—GLOWING AND CLEAR—AND SOME DAYS, NO MATTER HOW MUCH YOU CARE FOR IT, IT JUST WANTS TO PLAY YOU. WHEN IT COMES TO SKINCARE, EVERYONE HAS THEIR UNIQUE SOLUTIONS: THE INSTANT GRATIFIERS AND THE ONES THAT PLAY HARD TO GET (BUT TURN OUT TRULY WORTHY IN THE END). IN THIS SERIES, #MYMECCASKIN, WE TAP SOME OF OUR FAVOURITE MAKEUP PEOPLE TO TAKE IT ALL OFF AND REVEAL THEIR SKIN STORY AND THE PRODUCTS THEY USE TO MANAGE THIS CRAZY LITTLE THING CALLED SKIN.

An influencer and busy mum of two (very cute) kids, Amy Hamilton doesn’t always have a lot of time to treat herself when it comes to skincare. But when she does get a spare 20 minutes, she likes to concentrate on reviving dull skin—from not always getting a full night’s sleep—and tackling fine lines and wrinkles now that she’s in her late 30s.

Her nightly routine starts with Kate Somerville ExfoliKate Cleanser to remove the day’s makeup. Up next, she applies the Eve Lom Time Retreat Sheet Mask which she describes as a skin boost and a mood boost if she’s had a bad day.

The next step is an eye cream. She’s a huge fan of the Dr Dennis Gross Hyaluronic Marine Dew It Right Eye Gel for its lightweight consistency that still keeps her eye area feeling hydrated. A face oil is comes afterwards; Amy likes to gently press Drunk Elephant Virgin Marula Oil into her skin before applying the Kate Somerville +Retinol Vitamin C Moisturiser.

Since hitting her mid-30s, Amy says retinol has become her best friend for fine lines and wrinkles. On top of her moisturiser she applies Kat Burki’s Hydration Blast as a mask for extra nourishment and finishes off the routine with Tatcha’s Kissu Lip Mask for some serious lip care and hydration.
