Not only will you have a comprehensive two-week induction when you first join our team, but we will continue to take you on a learning journey like no other! From classroom learning to practical workshops, 1-to-1 coaching, guest speakers and field trips, we are committed to ensuring our team members are always growing, engaged and challenged.
We have also built our very own online MECCA Learning Lab, so that our teams can access brand, product and operational training anywhere and anytime.
Meet Julia, who has had a MECCA-mazing career so far. Julia started her MECCA journey in 2012 as a Store Host in our Melbourne Central Maxima store.
Whilst embodying our values, she developed her passion for leadership and training and quickly progressed to a Regional Training Manager for Victoria. In this role, she learned all about leadership, presenting and how to be effective in training team members to upskill their knowledge and drive customer service in stores.
Julia then took some time off to spend with her family before returning into the role of VIC State Training Manager where she led a team of Regional Training Managers to drive motivation, knowledge and results.
Two years on, Julia’s career pivoted as she became a Regional Sales Manager and learned the other element of retail leadership by managing and fostering a group of stores. After learning all about the world of sales and running a fantastic region in Victoria, Julia came back to her love of Education and she is now our National Training Manager for Australia and NZ. In this role, she works closely with our brands and leads a team of State Trainers and team members from across the business.

To join our store team, there’s no expectation that you need to be an expert in makeup, skincare or fragrance, but you must be positive and enthusiastic with a passion for beauty and customer service. We look for team members who go above and beyond to ensure our customers leave looking and feeling their best.
Once you submit your online application, our Retail Recruitment team takes great care in reviewing your response. From there, you may be invited to attend and participate in a group Careers Forum to showcase how you respond in certain retail scenarios, demonstrate the MECCA values and adapt to feedback. The second part of our Careers Forum will include a face to face interview, and a potential Artistry Assessment depending on your experience. If successful following this – the MECCAverse is your oyster! We will be so excited to welcome you to the team.
