In line with the guidance of the government and health experts, we’ve introduced several protection and social distancing measures to keep our MECCA community - our passionate team members and much-loved customers - safe. We do so appreciate your patience and support as we work through this together.

Keeping mecca safe
  • At our Distribution Centre, we’ve implemented a number of safety measures, including temperature checks for all team members prior to the start of each shift, frequent and thorough cleaning, the introduction of zones and separate teams to support social distancing across our warehouse, and the requirement for all team members to wear face masks and gloves at all times.   • We’ve had to restrict the number of people we can have in-store at any one time, and we’ve ensured that the maximum occupancy at any of our stores is lower than the recommended social distancing guidelines (just to be extra safe!). Our team will be on hand to help manage this.

  • For those who are feeling unwell, we encourage you to stay at home and our super helpful customer service team will be on hand to help you order your product. You can chat to our team and order via our Virtual Services or online.

  • As an added health and safety measure, we will be temperature-checking all our store team members and customers prior to entry. The advice we have been given is that temperature readings should be lower than 37.4 degrees to ensure a safe environment.

  • We have hand-sanitation stations located at the entrance to our stores, at the point-of-sale and at various other locations within the store. We will do all that we can to ensure you can always keep your hands clean.

  • We’re doubling down on the cleaning and disinfecting of all surfaces frequently, and we have dedicated Hygiene Heroes at every store making sure everything always stays clean.

  • You’ll see lots of reminders in store including floor decals, to ensure we’re always keeping a safe 1.5m away from each other.

  • Currently, we are operating with a no-touch service policy, but there are so many ways we can help service you. Talk to us about other ways we can help in-store, over the phone or online!

  • Our product testers are in isolation, but our MECCA team members are on standby to help you safely test anything you’d like to try.

  • Select registers will be accepting cash – the rest will be taking card transactions right now, and we’re disinfecting POS and pin-pads between every single customer.
