Can you feel it? That electric buzz in the beauty universe; the Jedi-like instinct that life as you currently know it is about to be forever changed? It’s the palpable excitement that Beauty Junkies know to mean only one thing: new beauty has landed.

After three years in the making (and a little bit of teasing on our part, the wait is over: MECCA’s newest signature line Mecca MAX has finally launched in-store and online. As you frantically make your wishlist, here are five things you need to know about the hottest beauty brand of the moment.

With a massive 206 products launching across complexion, eyes, lips, tools (and more) in the collection, there’s loads to play with and explore. “I’ve been looking at these products every day for three years and I’m still obsessed with every single one of them,” says brand manager Ellie Hockley. “My current favourite is the Eye Max Volumising Mascara. It’s a really black pigment so it’s great for really intensifying lashes by darkening them instantly.” Other ones to watch: Shimmer Shot lip glosses for that perfect ‘90s-vibe glittery lip, the Illuminati metallic eyeshadows (“just…next-level”) and the uber-flattering Chic Cheek blushes. And with an average price point of $20, you’ll get plenty of beauty bang for your buck.

WHEN TWO BECOMES ONE-OF-A-KIND

The Power Couple is an innovative double-ended mascara unlike anything that’s in your makeup bag. Start with the chubby brush end to intensify lashes, then flip to experience the real magic via a Polly Pocket-sized mini spoolie. As MECCA staffer Emily Deacon puts it: “that tiny little brush gets in everywhere. There are little lashes that have probably never even seen mascara before—and it’s getting in there!” As for the formula? “There’s no fallout, doesn’t clump or go flaky,” she says. “The application from the two different brush heads is just amazing.”

HEIDI’S SEAL OF APPROVAL

You know you’re onto something pretty special when Heidi Hamoud, gives it the thumbs up. For this YouTube queen, it was the Life Proof Longwear Foundation. “In love,” she says. “I don’t think there’s a foundation that matches me so well.” Her other standout? The Banana Bake Skin Filter powder. “This product is probably my favourite, it blurs my under eyes [and] makes everything absolutely flawless,” she says. “I press under the eyes with a sphere; it’s like baking without [the] fall out.”

For Ellie, it was about giving the range a personality and sense of fun. “We wanted our range to be something our customers would be proud to pull out of their bags,” she says. “We wanted to reflect the charisma and energy of our stores and store teams. And for the product inside to do exactly what it said it would—and more.”
