Additional Information

Mario Badescu's best seller, Drying Lotion is an excellent spot treatment made with a blend of calamine and salicylic acid to clear up and soothe unsightly whiteheads overnight. A dab of this lotion will heal and dry pimples quickly. Adored by celebrities from Hollywood to London-town, it's no wonder this overnight treatment has become world famous.

Before bed (after cleansing, toning, and moisturizing) dip a cotton swab into the pink sediment at the bottom of the bottle. Apply a dab of this lotion directly on the whitehead. Do not rub in. Let it dry and rinse off in the morning. DO NOT shake the bottle; if contents get shaken during packing and delivery, place the bottle on a flat surface until the layers separate and the pink sediment rests on the bottom.

Isopropyl Alcohol,Aqua (Water,Eau), Calamine, Camphor,Sulfur,Resorcinol, Salicylic Acid, Zinc Oxide, Titanium Dioxide, Talc,Glycerin

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It really does minimise my break outs. I'm not gonna lie - I bought this, used this and hated it. Then about 6 months down the track I found out I was using it wrong the entire time! *such a fail* It was only after watching a beauty vlogger use this product that I found out I was using it wrong. They used a q-tip to dip into the jar down to the bottom where the pink sediment is (don't shake or mix both together) then once you coat your q-tip you use it to dot the pink sediment onto your break outs. Then you just leave the pink dots on your face.... go to bed, and wake up to see a noticeable difference. The only reason I don't give it 5-stars is because it is super strong, and definitely strips the skin... so I really only use this when I'm having a REALLY bad break out or for special events.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from CHEAP AND WORKS Firstly, good value - 10mL per $8 and probs lasts a few months-ish. Works well for me although scarring or redness may remain if you've previously popped the pimple or whatever but I actually think it's more effective if you do pop it before hand (up to you though). The salicylic acid in it is REALLY GOOD for treating pimples btw. Helps to get rid of bumps and will prevent pimples if you apply before it actually surfaces.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from CHEAP SOLUTION THAT WORKS Quite cheap considering value as in it's about $8 per 10ml plus I haven't been using it for long but I can tell it'll last a good while. Will reduce swollen pimples or bumps but a bit of redness and scarring could remain on bigger ones especially if it has been previously popped. Stings too but that just means it's working :)

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Didn't work for me I had really high hopes for this product as my skin had many breakouts when I bought it, but it just made my skin dry without reducing acne size. In fact, because of the dry skin it took longer for them to heal. I did stir it before using and only used on the spots, so definitely used it as prescribed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing, leaves skin feeling dry and free of oils After using this product it really helps reduce acne before it has become its worst. Normally before using this product my skin feels oily but after applying it and once washing it off the next morning I no longer feel unsure if I will breakout as it leaves my skin dry and acne-free.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Helpful Works well for pimples on the surface, not so much for big ones deep in the skin.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works like magic! I've tried other products on my extra large pimple and none worked or took days to work but this product took less then one day to take effect! Now I wouldn't use anything else!

Do i have to put this after toner and moisturiser? Or can I use it as it is? Cause I don't really put toner and moisturiser at night. But I put serums.

Asked by: AnnaXCVI
I'd recommend putting it on the spots you need to immediately after cleansing your face, so that it has direct contact with the pimple instead of having to make its way through a serum. And then just continue your skincare routine as you normally do, making sure to work around the spots :)

Will this help clear up those little pimple bumps as I get them across my forehead and chin. Also will it work on blind pimples?

Asked by: Ellee13
I can recommend a miracle for blind pimples a procuct called Thars antiseptic ointment (chemist warehouse etc). It's in a small round yellow tin. It draws out what's underneath and brings the pimple to a head. I've been using it most of my life and I swear by it. It's been around for years and years, my mum used it when she was younger too! This drying lotion is good too though, but not for blind pimples in my opinion. It works well for other pimples though!

what happens if you shake the bottle?

Asked by: Paige123345678
The solution will mix with the pink stuff and you'll have to wait for approximately half an hour for it to fully settle back into the two seperate parts before you can use it. You don't want to use it when it's mixed :)

I'm almost finished my bottle but have a little left and am struggling to get the last bit out of the bottle. Any ideas on how I can use every last drop of this?!

Asked by: jskasav
maybe you could transfer it into another bottle. Just shake up the product first, put it in a container then wait for it to settle. Should work fine.
