Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfume with a punch I was tossing up between this and Byredo Black Saffron but I'm glad I stuck with this. It lasts far longer on my skin than any perfume I've ever owned (particularly the Black Saffron I sampled) and although it goes on quite strong it mellows to a beautifully subtle fragrance while still keeping some of that kick. I tend to wear rose scents but they can get sickly sweet - this cuts the rose with a warm spice making me feel like some fabulous 70's, Laurel Canyon muso or model. Can't get enough!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My forvever perfume I have been looking for a perfume for over 10 years which I can wear without getting a headache or going it off within minutes. I have definitely found my forever perfume.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Delicious! I love this perfume. It's soft and spicy but the pachouli and sandalwood stop it from getting too musky. An absolute dream! The bottle is cute too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is the new Gypsy Water! First things first - yes, she's related to THAT Freud. Actually a couple - Sigmund is her grandfather, and her father is was a famous British painter - so here we have someone with a pedigree of intelligence, curiosity and artistic flair. It's no surprise Bella ended up in fashion and the arts. The second thing you will notice about Bella Freud fragrance is the packaging. It's next generation luxe - fashiony and matte with scrawly hand written type and pops of colour. This fragrance takes it's name from her knitwear of the same name - and first inspired by a random piece of typography Bella found in an old book. I detected musk sticks straight away, but there's Rose de Mai in it (like Chantecaille skincare), and the perfume designer Azzi Glasson put in lots of vetiver - one of her favourites notes to use. It's called '1970' so there has to be patchouli and incense too, right? It's perfectly balanced though- not health shop like at all, and no sickly pop singer sweetness either. Sexy, juicy, and unique. Wears for hours.YUM. Holly, Mecca Balmain.
